Shangaan Electro: New Wave Dance Music From South Africa is one of the most fresh and exhilarating albums I have listened to in a long time. Shangaan is regional dance music played at a breakneck 180 BPM pace, with organ leads, marimba bass, and hypnotic call and response vocals. It’s incredibly energetic music that is a joy to listen to.
